Battery maintenance: The battery is one of the core components of electric tricycles, and proper charging and maintenance are crucial for extending its service life. It is recommended to use a factory compatible charger and avoid using high current fast charging or non-standard chargers. When charging, plug in the battery first and then turn it on. After fully charging, turn off the power first and then unplug the plug. Batteries should be avoided from being completely depleted or stored at full charge for a long time, especially lead-acid batteries, which can have their charging time relaxed appropriately in winter, while lithium batteries need to strictly control their charging time, not exceeding 8 hours in summer and 10 hours in winter.
Motor and controller maintenance: The motor and controller are key components of an electric three wheeled motorcycle. The motor should avoid water ingress. After riding in rainy weather, it is necessary to check for water ingress and handle it promptly. The controller needs to be waterproof and moisture-proof to ensure good heat dissipation performance. Regularly inspect the fasteners and brake system of the motor to ensure their proper functioning.
Brake system maintenance: The performance of the brake system directly affects driving safety. Regularly check the brake pads and brake discs to ensure that their wear is within a safe range. The brake fluid should use DOT-3 hybrid brake fluid and be replaced regularly.
Tire maintenance: Tire pressure has a significant impact on range and driving experience. Check tire pressure every two weeks or every month to maintain standard values to extend range and tire life. At the same time, regularly check the tread depth and wear condition of the tires, and replace them in a timely manner if necessary.
Vehicle cleaning and storage: Regularly clean the vehicle with neutral car wash detergent to avoid using high-pressure water guns to impact electronic components. When storing, avoid direct sunlight and rain to prevent rusting of the vehicle body and rotating parts.
Other component maintenance: Regularly inspect mechanical fasteners, parking brakes, and brake systems to ensure their proper functioning. Regularly replace gear oil to maintain smooth operation of transmission components.
